Born in Amman, Jordan in 1938 to a Lebanese father and a Turkish mother. In 1958, he graduated Academy of Fine Arts in Rome to become the first Jordanian to receive a formal art education. Al-Durra held numerous solo and group exhibitions and won several awards.
